At Lionheart, we believe that tutoring represents education in its purest form. For millennia, learning happened not in classrooms, but in conversation —  scholar to student, mind to mind. This is the tradition we honour and the transformation we see in each and every student.

Our Story

A Learning Legacy Since 1989

Long before tutoring became an industry, Lionheart was quietly setting a new standard. Since 1989, we’ve supported families through the most important stages of their children’s education — always guided by the belief that learning should prepare students for the long term, not just the next exam.

Today, we work with families from London to Hong Kong, New York to Dubai. Some of those who came to us in 1989 are now returning with the next generation.

Our Philosophy

Old School Values, New School Thinking

We combine timeless principles — discipline, integrity, mentorship — with the best of modern educational insight. Our students benefit from structure and stretch, but also space to grow, reflect, and think for themselves.

This isn’t about teaching to the test. It’s about preparing young people for life — with the clarity, confidence, and character to define success on their own terms.

Our Tutors

Beyond Academic Excellence

We don’t just match subjects to students — we match minds to minds.

When your rugby-obsessed son discovers his Oxford maths tutor captained the Blues, equations become conversations. When an aspiring doctor learns from a practising surgeon, textbook knowledge becomes lived insight.

Our tutors aren’t just academics — they’re barristers, engineers, artists, and athletes, each bringing something more than credentials.

That’s what turns tutoring into mentorship – and sparks a lifelong love of learning.
